Swinging for a Cause, One Hole at a Time

The Richard M. Catapano Jr. Memorial Golf Outing, established in 2021, has been highly successful in honoring the memory of Richard M. Catapano Jr. and raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention among first responders. The inaugural event, despite the challenges of the time, drew a remarkable turnout, setting the stage for what would become a significant annual tradition. Participants, including avid golfers, local supporters, and individuals passionate about the cause, gathered for a day filled with camaraderie and remembrance. The event featured golf, dinner, and auctions, successfully raising funds and awareness for the critical issue of first responder suicide prevention. The following year, the outing saw increased participation and support, with more sponsors and deeper community involvement.
